As a church, we have the joy of partnering in the work of the Gospel going out not only to Australia but the world!

Through CMS (Christian Missionary Society), we support missionaries, Norm & Janelle Gorrie, as they serve the Lord faithfully in Marsabit, Kenya. Norm & Janelle’s needs are met through the support of MEC and other churches through CMS. We are thankful for the members of MEC and their continuing support.

In their ministry, Norm & Janelle encounter many other needs like supporting evangelists with food and other basic needs or assisting in the planting of churches.

Care Kenya has been set up as a way of helping the Gorries meet those needs. As Norm says, “A little bit goes a long way”.

Missionary Norm and Janelle Gorrie CMS Kenya Marsabit Serve

The Gorrie’s served the Lord in Marsabit 1989 to 1998 and returned to Kenya again in 2017. 

As Director of Mission, Norm partners with pastors and churches to make Christ known and grow disciple-making disciples in schools, communities, police posts, hospitals and prisons across the north. Janelle ministers at a Boran-speaking church. She trains adult non-readers to read the Boran Bible, and develops literacy resources for the diocese.
