Grow groups

We believe being a part of a church community isn’t just for Sundays!

Grow Group communities complement our Sunday gatherings by drawing small groups of people together to encourage one another as we follow Jesus. Often the passage preached on Sunday will be studied and reflected upon. We aim to taste God’s goodness together and love him in return. These groups are the primary source of pastoral care at MEC. Our three goals for Grow Groups are to… 1. read, obey and pray the Bible together 2. care for one another. 3. spur one another on to being Jesus’ witnesses in the world. We have a range of groups, all lead by mature Christians: women’s; men’s; and mixed; some incorporate children, and others don’t. The groups meet at various times throughout the week.

Phil’s Story

“God made us social beings, to live in community.  Being part of a close community through Grow Groups continues to nourish my social, spiritual, and mental well being. The diversity and breadth of Christian maturity, stages in life, current trials and godly wisdom within Grow Groups brings a richness of learning and encouragement to me, as well as giving me the opportunity to support others, as we all share our lives together”
